Locally filmed movie to air

“Dolly Parton’s Coat of Many Colors,” to air at 9 p.m. Thursday, on NBC

Alyvia Alyn Lind plays Dolly Parton in the true story, TV-movie. You may know her from her role on The Young and the Restless as Nick and Sharon's daughter. Recently Dolly Parton told reporters when watching Alyvia's screen test she cried because she reminded her so much of herself at that age. I personally as a country music fan am super excited to watch this movie and learn more about Dolly's life. The fact that it was filmed here locally is just an added bonus. I will never get tired of seeing hollywood's best come to small town Ga.

Jennifer Nettles (Sugerland's lead singer) and Ricky Schroder (Silver Spoon) play Dolly's parents in the movie. All 3 cast members were seen locally in Covington taking in the sights of our small town. Even shopping in our store "On Location Gifts". Alyvia and her mom another actress known for roles in shows like One Tree Hill came in and spent the afternoon. Alyvia seemed to be super excited to be recognized from her role on YnR. Jessica our owner is of course a YnR junkie so she was excited to meet her and talk to her about her love of the Walking Dead, since we sell TWD memorbillia she racked up in the store.

Looking forward to seeing the movie on Thursday night. Wanna see where some of the scenes were shot here locally? Call us for a custom tour of The Hollywood Of the South.
